An adult female Aquatic Warbler was a very welcome bonus this morning too!

I will be here at Sto André until the 30th, Moxey and The Mothership leave on the 27th however and the brutal reality of returning to the "real" world is slowly dawning upon us. Until then, we have a week to carry on the work here and the training of Portuguese trainees!

Highlights so far:
3rd August: Belgian ringed Sedge Warbler (a bird of this year). Also having Buzzard (x2), Black-shouldered Kite, Kestrel and Hobby through the binoculars in one go!
5th August: Four Nightjars in one night, in one net - bingo!

There is upwards of 100 Glossy Ibis roosting near the camp and the evenings are made more amusing watching Spoonbills and Ibis´ crossing paths!

To the bar Batman!
